Painted plein air at the Vermillion Cliffs, Ferry's Landing area. I was drawn by the soft desert hues reflected in calmness of the morning water. I was intrigued by contrast of the rugged desert mountains against the smooth luminous water and was up for the challenge of capturing this in oil paint
