World In My Hand

I captured a photo of my daughter, lost in contemplation near our home. While translating this image I was struck by the busy background around her. The grass is a visual sea of movement but she is focused on what is right in front of her. It was profound and stands as a reminder to me that the things I need to focus on are the ones that are closest to me. This piece was done with graphite on hot press watercolor paper.
