Two Travelers

Two Travelers was painted in Moab, Utah during a plain air event. I usually drive around a Town and look for something that catches my eye and I can not stop thinking about. Her property was full of fanciful subjects. Jane walked me through out her property including a wild landscape and whimsical fence out of branches that her husband had constructed it. Jan was 80 years old and a widow. She was about about to hit the road on a camping trip with friends. Her Jeep was loaded and ready to go. We talked about the history of the two vehicles. The VW was her first and the Jeep was her current. I had not painted cars so I gave it a try. I had two days before she was to take off. I t is one of my favorite memories.
